Sima Bivolarska-Stoyanova

I have been involved in photography for more than ten years, and over the past six to seven years it has become my primary professional practice. My work focuses mainly on people, with portrait photography being the field where I find my strongest creative inspiration. While I greatly enjoy working with color and exploring its expressive possibilities, black-and-white imagery remains a particular passion of mine.

Faces, emotions, and authentic moments are at the core of my artistic approach. I aim for each photograph to convey not only an objective representation, but also a trace of my own perception of light, presence, and character. For me, a portrait is a form of dialogue—a quiet interaction between the photographer and the person in front of the lens, resulting in sincere and compelling visual narratives.
