4x 5 inch, the magic of large format. Experience the charm of the reverse Scheimpflug effect in portrait photography. In this compact course, you will learn how to use analogue medium-format or large-format cameras perfectly. Under guidance, you will learn how to use the camera professionally. You will learn about camera operation and how to use it for classic applications such as architecture and technical photography. Let yourself be captivated by the fascination of self-developed negatives. We combine technically correct usage with creative artistic applications. Analogue large format cameras and a black-and-white negative lab are available for the course. Under guidance, you will easily develop your own negatives, which we will then digitise together. This way, you will have created unique, one-of-a-kind pieces! Large format cameras, film cassettes and films will be provided during the course. However, you are also welcome to bring your own camera.

Day 1:
Theoretical instruction in the technology and handling of analogue large format cameras.
Practical section: Portrait photography
Practical section: Product photography
Day 2:
Theoretical instruction in black and white negative technology
Practical section: Inserting the films into the developing tanks
Practical section: Reproducing the negatives
Objective: You will master the basics of analogue large format photography and learn how to use a 4/5 inch camera. You will also have exposed and developed black and white negatives and will know the basics of the analogue black and white process.
Prerequisite: Interest in analogue photography
The LIKAkademie Vienna offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of analogue photography and create your own large-format analogue negative. Even without any prior knowledge, you can take your first steps in analogue photography in this workshop.
You will learn how to use a large format camera and receive an introduction to the various settings and techniques. You will then have the opportunity to take your own photo and develop the negative yourself. This process allows for exceptional control over the final result and offers a very special analogue experience. 4x 5 Inch, die Magie des Grossformats. Erleben Sie den Charme des umgekehrten Scheimpflugs bei Portraitaufnahmen. Sie lernen in diesem Kompaktkurs mit der analogen Mittelformat oder Grossformatkamera perfekt umzugehen. Unter Anleitung lernen Sie die Kamera professionell einzusetzen. Sie wissen über die Kamerabedienung Bescheid und können sie für die klassischen Einsatzgebiete wie Architektur und technische Aufnahmen einsetzen. Lassen Sie sich gefangen nehmen von der Faszination selbst entwickelter Negative. Wir kombinieren technisch korrekte Einsatzweise mit kreativ künstlerischen Einsatzgebieten. Für den Kurs stehen analoge Großformatkameras und ein Schwarzweiß Negativlabor zur Verfügung. Sie entwickeln selbst unter Anleitung unkompliziert Ihre Negative und wir digitalisieren diese dann gemeinsam. So haben Sie einzigartige Unikate erstellt! Großformatkameras, Filmkassetten und Filme werden während der Kurszeiten zur Verfügung gestellt. Sie können aber gern auch Ihre eigene Kamera mitnehmen.

Ziel: Sie beherrschen die Grundlagen der analogen Großformat Fotografie und können mit einer 4/5 inch Kamera umgehen. Ebenso haben Sie SW Negative belichtet und entwickelt und wissen Grundlegendes über den analogen Schwarz Weiß Prozess.
Vorraussetzung: Interesse an der analogen Fotografie
